Silverton, Pretoria, South Africa
Here is Happy Eden Farmers's stall, everything they grow is organic
A selection of every kind of dry herb and spice you can think of
A selection of very unique pies
The main upside to this place in our opinion is the many fresh products that is a 100% organic. Meats, fish, poultry, veggies, cheese, spices and fresh herbs can be found everywhere! The poultry has no brine injected, the meat has no hormones, the pork products is made with the best ingredients and no MSG or preservatives is used in making the kebabs, cheese sausages and other products available. Speciality products for example Kefir and Kombucha as well as bread made from stone ground flour can also be found to make a life lived organically so easy!
The market also has a large contingency of other interesting products like artworks, jewellery, scarves, clothes, and hand crafted bead-work that South Africans are famous for. A variety of presents, books, plants, flowers and collectables like old coins can be bought if you are looking for a great present at an affordable price.
The market opens every Saturday morning from 5:30 until about 9:00, therefore our advice is get there early to not miss out on products as they sell out quickly! From 9:00 onwards the market's atmosphere tapers down as people start packing up.
You can also visit the market's website at http://www.pretoriaboeremark.co.za (it is in Afrikaans so you need to translate it)
